Sikes Trekking

Annapurna Circuit Trekking Sikles trek is a rough and wild, this Annapurna Sikles trekking cuts through less traveled countryside of south of Annapurna II and Lamjung himal massif. It boasts splendid mountain views. It is a spectacular short trek and traverses a variety of terrain from low land villages and rich terrain up to Nepal's largest Gurungs (Gurkha soldiers) village as well as blossoming forests of rhododendron in the spring. The historic hill trek to Sikles, one of the early southern Gurung settlements and the second largest Gurung village still retains an impression of olden times.

Here, the Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest) have important roles in this Buddhist community, marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Siklis village lies above the Mardi Khola. You will enjoy the nice views of Annapurna IV to the north and Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal to the east. The region is particularly good for bird watching because of its pristine forested surroundings where different species of birds thrive. The Sikles trek is needed to organize on full board camping (Tented Camp). After you reach in Pokhara you will take flight or bus to back in Kathmandu. Sikles trekking is also possible to combine with Jungle Safari trip in Chitwan or Rafting at Trisuli River.
