Pikey Peak & Dudh Kunda Trekking
The sacred lake of Dudh kunda lies at the base of Mt. Nambur, the mountain regarded by the locals as being the home of the protective deity of Solu. In August there is an influx of devotees who come to perform cleansing ritual at the lake. At other time you are unlikely to meet anyone on this rarely traveled trail so still Dudh Kunda trek is less tourists visited area.
Dudh Kunda trekking is in Solu region and it is north-eastern part of Nepal. Solu is famous for its biological diversity, virgin landscape and mountain vistas. Dudh Kunda trek known as Dudha Kunda cultural trail trekking, the Dudh Kunda Lake is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The devotees believe that taking a dip into the icy cold lake will absolve them from all their sins and bless childless families with children. Amazing views of flora and fauna, experience of diverse cultures of Sherpas, Khaling Rais, Tamangs, Magars, Gurungs, make this journey a lifetime experience. This is a journey to a part of the world where very few people have set foot until now. This cultural trekking suitable to all age and no need any experience except mentally desire to go there. We include Pike Peak in itinerary. Pikey Hill (4100m) is one of the tallest hills of Solu.
ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu check in at the Hotel.Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu velley
Day 03: Kathmandu to Jiri drives by bus about 10 hrs and stay over night.
Day 04: Jiri trek to Shivalaya and stay over night.
Day 05: Shivalaya trek to Goli School and stay over night.
Day 06: GoliSchool trek to Goli gompa and stay over night.
Day 07: Goli Gompa trek to Pike Peak (4100m) and stay over night .
Day 08: Pike Peak trek to Junbensi and stay over night.
Day 09: Junbensi trek to Thupten Cholling Gompa short walk over night.
Day 10: Thupten Cholling Gompa trek to Yak Kharka and stay over night.
Day 11: Yak Kharka trek to Dudh Kunda and overnight.
Day 12: Dudh Kunda trek to Kharka and overnight.
Day 13: Kharka Trek to Kalala Danda and overnight .
Day 14: Kalala Danda trek to Khama and overnight.
Day 15: Khama trek to Thudung Bhanjyang and overnight.
Day 16: Thudung Bhanjyang trek to Jiri and overnight
Day 17: Jiri to Kathmandu drive by Bus to Kathmandu
Day 12: Bhaktapur & Patan sightseeing and return
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu for shopping or relax
Day 14: Drive to Airport for flying your own destination
