Jiri - Cho La Pass & Ebc Trek

Jiri to Cho La Pass trekThis is a classic trekking route started by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953. This trek goes from Jiri to the Everest Base Camp via the Gokyo / Chola pass and is one of the most outstanding and challenging treks in the Khumbu valley. This trek has a number of stunning attractions including trekking through the Solu area, visiting charming the villages of Junbesi and Ringmo and crosses over the great Lamjura pass. This trek offers excellent views of the high snow capped peaks, Himalayan wildlife and the Buddhist religion and culture. The Everest trek involves lots of uphill and downhill walking and gives you a good opportunity to observe the daily activities of the local and the traditional ways of life that have been preserved and practiced for thousand of years in this region. This trip also gives you a chance to climb gokyo peak and Kalapathar, one of the highlights and the highest spot of this trek. This offers breath-taking panoramic scenery of the giant snow capped mountains with Mt. Everest at a stone throws distance. After a memorable time in the high valleys and mountains, a dramatic scenic flight brings you back to Kathmandu with leaving you with unforgettable Himalayan memories
