Ghorepani, the short, colorful and relatively easy trek, takes its place in the western part of Kathmandu into the Annapurna region, one of the most popular trekking destination which offers impressive natural scenery, marvelous views of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchchhre, Hiunchuli and many more beautiful mountains are surrounding with you. Ghorepani trekking is also known as Poon Hill trek, One can get the lifetime chance to see some of the most dramatic views of some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world including pristine forests, diversity of flora and fauna encounter with the warm heartedness of the simple people whose rich and varied customs give you an insight into the typical life style of Gurung and Magar people.
On the way of trekking you are sure to encounter the legendary Gorkha soldiers who had served in the Gorkha Army during the world war in many countries. The main attraction of Ghorepani trekking is Poon Hill, situated at an altitude of 3210m, the most spectacular mountain spot on earth. Ghorepani trek is beginning from Nayapul close to Pokhara. After an hour drive from Pokhara you reach in Nayapul then start the Ghorepani trekking. Nayapul trek to Ghorepani though Birethanti, Hille, Thikhedunga and Ulleri. From Ghorepani early morning we ascent up of to the Pond Hill, to see the spectacular sunrise over the Himalaya including the Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (7041m), Fishtail (6998m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) , Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Lamjung Himal (6986m),Tukuche peak (6920m). After visiting Poon Hill we will trek to Dhampus Phedi though Tadapani, Ghandruk, Tolkha and Pothana. Ghorepani trek is end at Dhampus Phedi drive to Pokhara. From Pokhara is possible to go for Jungle Safari at Chitwan national park or take a flight or bus to back in Kathmandu. Ghandruk trekking is possible to make short and long as your wish but following itinerary is more tourists used in previous.
