Ghandruk Trekking

Annapurna Ghandruk Loop trekGhandruk, the admired name famous for trekking, is situated towards the northwest of Pokhara - the beautiful villlaged nesteld ont eh hillside above the river valley at an altitude of 2012 meters above sea level and is inhabited by Gurungs (who were heavily dependent upon employment in the British Army till the second half of the 20th century), one of the many ethnic groups of Nepal, with their own religion and culture. Ghandruk is a huge village where you will see the headquarters of Annapurna Conservation Project, proffer admirable views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchchhre and Himalchuli. Ghandruk trek is beginning from Nayapul close to Pokhara.

Trek from Nayapul is pleasing trek where you will discover the scenic and magnificent beauty of this rich natural paradise. The major highlight of this area is the Traditional Gurung Museum which displays the local traditional clothes and equipment used by the Gurung people. After Ghandruk you will trek continue to Dhampus Phedi though Landrung, Tolkha and Pothana.Ghandruk trekking is end in Dhampus Phedi then drive back to Pokhara. From Pokhara is possible to go for Jungle Safari at Chitwan national park or take a flight or bus to back in Kathmandu. Ghandruk trekking is possible to make short and long as your wish but following itinerary is more tourists used in previous.
